Introducing Lola, she is smallest doll face and forms part of the Vintage Porcelain Doll Face Cabochon Collection.
Lola is a very beautiful minature doll face perfect for bead embroidery, bead weaving or wire wrapping maybe even a collage. The creative journey with each of these darlings will be wonderful. I bought an excess of them from a dealer in the US back in 2008. The dealer was unable to provide enough detail about them; other than they were manufactured in Taiwain, possibly in the 1940's. They are porcelain faces with a perfectly flat back. They have sat in my bead room cupboard for a long time now and it is time they went to new homes.
The supply is very limited, once they are gone that is it .. no more. I bought the entire lot from the dealer. I have given the name of Lola, because well she is so darn adorable. She has wonderful handpainted features, chubby baby cheeks and a 'harlequin' style motif handpainted onto the top of her head and around her eyes. While the faces might appear all the same, each one is slightly different from the next. Owing to their vintage nature, some imperfections in the paint may be present, I think this adds to their vintage allure though. There are no chips or cracks in any cabochons.
The last two photographs provides you with inspiration as to what you may like to create with Lola. This inspiration piece is not including with the listing.
You will receive one doll face cabochon.
She is 3cm tall and just over 2cm wide.
Thank you for looking.
