
Melissa's jewellery designs and articles have appeared in every edition of Australian Beading magazine since 2008 through to the October 2012 edition (with the exception of perhaps two editions). Melissa has now joined the design team for 'Digital Beading Magazine' the launch issue was releasaed early December 2012. Digital Beading Magazine is the first Australian all digital beading magazine of its kind dedicated to jewellery making.
Melissa's work and profile information have been published in the magazine's Creative Beading, Perl'fection (French Beading Magazine) and Connect (a Bead Society of Victoria publication).

Arabesque Armour Neckpiece was juried into in the book '500 Art Necklaces' authored by Professor of Jewelry Chunghi Choo, Lark Publishing June, 2013.
Melissa was invited by Anneta Valious, a talented French Soutache jewellery designer earlier this year to submit images of a select piece of Soutache embroidery for her new book 'Soutache Embroidery' . The book was released by Lark Publishing in June 13, 2013, my Soutache piece 'Jacaranda Nights' is featured in the Gallery of this fine publication.
A bead engineered neckpiece design 'Hepzibah's Pendulum' which has a moving pendulum crafted with a 34ct faceted amethyst appears in Marcia DeCosters new book 'Beads in Motion' released August, 2013.
Melissa was an invited featured artist in 'Marcia Presents - 30 Beaders on Inspiration and Technique', a book showcasing talents from around the world, curated by Bead Master, Marcia DeCoster. This publication by Lark Publishing was released February 2014.
Melissa's cuff design 'Magic Carpet Ride' (originally juried into 'Showcase 500 Beaded Jewlery' by Lark Publishing 2012) makes an invited appearance in
the Goddess of Colour, Margie Deeb's new book 'Designing Beaded Jewelry'. released June 2014.
2013 Melissa sat on the panel of invited judges for the 2013 Battle of the Beadsmith an international beading contest. Hosted by The Beadsmith. The 'Battle' kicked off the inaugural contest in 2012. Melissa participated and made it to the Top 5 before being defeated. The concept was designed and facilitated by Steven Weiss of 'The Beadsmith' a family owned business. The Battle consists of invited 'battlers' i.e. beadwork Artists from around the world (92 battled in 2012) who are paired via a random selection process with another. The pairs are judged and receive votes, whoever wins the most votes gets to go to the next round and so on. The pairing for the next round is random pairing as well. The public get invited to cast their vote during the entire process, but only once or twice. The final pair are judged by votes, the winner becomes either the King or Queen of the Battle and are awarded a trophy and copious amounts of kudos. It is a contest about being involved on a global scale and pushing your artistic limits to do your very best. It is in it's 3rd year now and Melissa will be one of the participants of this Battle. You can follow the Battle on Facebook, but for now the Battle page remains 'secret'.
